The hook and loop fastening on the front of this Neck Brace helps it to conform to the upper part of the thoracic spine, which is often involved in neck injury and related pain.  Although the vertebrae in the neck are often the perceived site of pain, it frequently emanates, partly or wholly, from the first couple of thoracic vertebrae.

For best results the Neck Brace should always be worn next to the skin. If the pain also involves your shoulders, the Neck Brace may be worn under the Back On Track T-shirt or Polo Shirt to fully envelop the site.
